Hi,

I just wrote a couple of responses to some other interesting posts and had to comment on yours.

First of all, minorites and women (I guess that I am a double minority) do not have the corner on the market of suffering. You don't really seem as though you are suffering because you have the strength of character to keep your family together and to protect your little ones from their mother....sometimes things work out for the best when one parent is gone and one is left to carry on. It's best that the kids have the stability that they have now.

I don't know you but I am glad to see your post, not because of where you are at at this juncture of your life, but that you are a testament to single fathers (the unsung heros). 

Soon things will pick up for you and you fellas will be on your way to the next chapter. Relationships will come regardless of finances too by the way. A lot of women know how to support themselves and wont need you for your money, but for your companionship and love.

YEAH I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DOING FOR YOUR DAUGTHER  SHE IS WRONG THINKING  THAT GOD WILL PUT SOMEONE  IN FROM OF HER FACE  . Dear Nate,

I have read your personal 'journal', yet nothing about where and what you are doing now personally.  I am a mother of four who is really writing with regards to my 27 year old daughter.  I would gladly exchange some info with you about her if you could be more specific.  She is a beautiful, christian, real-life woman who is employed, attaining her nursing degree at night and in a church of over 1,800 members has the love and support of our main pastor and his wife and many others.  She is so involved in her work, school and her relationship with God, that social life is not her top priority. Besides attending church services on a regular basis, she has stayed away from our singles group preferring to 'leave it to God' considering her busy work and academic studies.  She has been on a mission trip to Jamaica with the church and is currently looking for a mission based outlet locally with our church to help the community.  It was by accident I found this site for my own purposes as an author myself. Her past relationships have found HER the strong 'one' in relationships and is seeking God for a true biblical man whom she can "partner" with.  She would not be pleased with my writing you, but she is such a gem and so anxious to find her God picked mate, I am taking a chance.  She is a realistic, loving woman who has been through enough not to be 'ignorant' of the world, yet dedicated to living a christian life in it.  Please provide more info as I am wary to put her in any situation that would harm our relationship, not willing to give what I consider the apple of my eye, her information to just any man at this point.  Considering the world as it is now, I am sure you can understand my caution.

i am 45 in hopewell va

Single father, no time or, finances for a realationship. I always figured I had all that when I was younger. Now I have a 6 and 10 year old sons living with me. There mother abandoned them at her mothers. Her mother had me pick them up. No childsupport. She ran, now living in a camper moving around and, running from warrents. She is the true deffinition of a dead beat parent. Meanwhile were going to lose our home, transportantion and eventually each other. But what they hey! lol  I figure shit happens, even though I'm not a minority, or a woman, I seem to be having issues that match. I mean, who would have thought a plain old white American male could have the typical female problems. Oh ya, I have a poem (my worse ever) in poetry . com It's called,

"I never had a baby shower, I didnt ask to be a mother"

We're overdue for a mirical. My luck months are Jan - April. I'm counting on that. Oh ya something else. I'm back in college. I've got pretty much every symtom you can have. However, being a plain old white American disqualifies me for help. Funny world huh.
